new awning for Jamavar

Greenwich awning at the Jamavar Restaurant

1 Dec 2016

Our Greenwich Awning® was installed at the new Jamavar Indian restaurant on Mount Street, Mayfair. The Greenwich awning was developed by our own design team in Charlton, London, and is based on the classic French window coverings which have been found on elegant European facades across Europe for centuries. The awning has clean, distinguished, lines that are perfectly suited to restaurants and hotels, especially those on historic buildings.

Jamavar, named after the intricate and vibrant 16th century shawls of Kashmir, first opened at the Leela Palace Bengaluru in 2001. Their menu displays  the unique flavours and mysterious recipes from diverse areas of India, from the Royal Kitchens of the North to the Southern shores. The menu is inspired by Executive Chef Rohit Ghai’s travels through the Indian sub-continent. It is complemented by an array of desserts have been thoughtfully selected to create a perfect finish to your meal.

Mount Street, Mayfair,  consists mostly of older buildings which are up to four and five storeytall;  frequently with retail premises on the ground floor. There are also many fine mansion blocks.

The Brazilian Embassy is located at 54 Mount Street and the Grosvenor House Hotel and the Connaught Hotel are at opposite ends of the street.
