Greenwich awning at Novikov

New Greenwich awning for Novikov Restaurant

7 Jan 2017

The Greenwich awning by Morco has been chosen to feature on the frontage of the Novikov Bar and restaurant in Mayfair. With its modern function complimenting a traditional ambience the Greenwich awning is a practical, yet elegant, addition to this fine Mayfair Place building. With bright  cerise awning fabric contrasting with the fine white lines of the building and the subtle, yet clear, text on the valance the overall result is one of quiet sophistication.

Opened in 2012 by Russian entrepreneur Arkady Anatolievich Novikov the now famous Novikov Bar and Restaurant has become a mecca for the discerning diner with its two distinct restaurant themes of Italian and Asian Cuisine.A real feature of the Novikov Asian Restaurant is its open kitchen which is  fronted by an amazing  display of seafood and vegetables which evokes the atmosphere of an Asian food market. The entrance is dominated by the imposing wood-fired oven, suede wall panelling, mirrors in solid oak frames and the rustic chandeliers. In the Italian themed twin restaurant. the menu offers regional Italian dishes with a contemporary twist

Mayfair Place, in which the restaurant is located, was built in 1924, following the demolition of the original Devonshire House in that year. The new Devonshire House is an office building and completely takes up the south side of Mayfair Place, it is registered as a grade II listed building with Historic England.
