The Newman Hotel Fitzrovia Now Open with Morco Awnings

The Newman Hotel has now opened its doors in Fitzrovia, and it’s great to see the building fully brought to life. Ahead of launch, we installed sixteen SQ2 folding-arm awnings across the façade, all finished in a sandy beige fabric with black fascia plates. The clean, flat-fascia design allows each awning to sit neatly flush when retracted, protecting guests from the sun without interrupting the hotel’s architectural lines.

Since opening, we’ve returned to add a Greenwich awning for the hotel’s restaurant, Angelica. Made in the same fabric, with the restaurant’s black wordmark applied to the valance, it adds a subtle but confident branded touch.

Together, the awnings create a unified, considered exterior that feels as refined as the hotel itself.
